PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – PROCESSING DEPARTMENT
• Manage staff by communicating job expectations, coordinating and verifying daily activities within assigned areas of
responsibility.
• Monitor operations to ensure efficiency, yields, output, product quality, and safety.
• Lead, motivate, guide, and direct hourly production staff, improve their skills, and enhance teamwork.
• Ensure department compliance with all safety, quality, efficiency, food safety, sanitation, HR, legislation, and company
policies.
• Ensure care and proper operation of all equipment in areas of responsibility ·
• Execute daily work for area staff to meet production demands.
• Check all line reports to ensure that they are completed accurately and timely.
• Order materials for the department using a daily production schedule.
Qualifications
• Post Secondary Education
• A certificate or diploma in management studies can be an asset
• Computer literacy training can be an asset
Experience
A minimum of three years (3) years of experience in a leadership role or as a Supervisor in a manufacturing environment preferably food manufacturing.
Person Specifications
• Must be able to work and rotate on a three-shift-based system
• Good communication skills – verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse work environment
• Physically fit to endure majority of workday on the plant floor, walking and standing.
