The incumbent shall plan, co-ordinate and oversee the operations of the Production Department, ensuring that there is a detailed and seamless handover from one shift to another.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Reviews schedule and work done at the end of last shift with last Shift Supervisor and confirm work to be done, which
entails: work to continue and work to begin, checking manpower and supplies availability and reviewing the lab results
such as following up with product on hold among other aspects.
• Responsible for maintenance of records regarding inspections of process lines, pre and post cleaning and sanitation.
• Identifies and Reports Food Safety and Quality issues to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Reviews schedules and sets production targets with each operator using the daily reports.
• Monitors Equipment and Lines on an hourly basis to ensure that production is running as per output rates, yields and
machine condition.
• Ensures that all activities related to set up, changeovers and washdown are performed by production staff in accordance
with set time frames.
• Determines work that is nearing completion and execute all necessary activities in order to be ready to initiate next in
schedule process.
• Ensures accurate logging of information on daily reports in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
• Atleast 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.
• BSc in any of the related fields would be considered as an asset (Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Technology)
• Five (5) CXC or GCE O’ Level passes and technical training and Certificate combined with experience in related areas.
