Production Coordinator, Moulding

The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the Procurement process, in order to optimize the use of machines and manpower to meet production, quality and cost targets, as per the Company’s established policies and practices.

The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the Procurement process, in order to optimize the use of machines and manpower to meet production, quality and cost targets, as per the Company’s established policies and practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Audit daily production quantities reported by Supervisors with Warehouse Lead, investigate discrepancies and report to the Division Lead for approvals to make corrections as required.
• Audit daily manhours reported by Supervisors, investigate discrepancies and report to the Division Lead for approvals to make corrections as required.
• Audit daily consumption of raw materials and packaging materials and investigate waste consumption and over consumption with Supervisors.
• Work with the Production Plan to ensure the required raw materials and packaging material are requisitioned as required.
• Attend Production Planning meeting and update the Sales Team on a weekly basis on the quantities produced.
• Coordinate with the Sales Team to ensure requirements are On Time and In Full (OTIF).
• Coordinate, Monitor and report on ALL regrind operations, verify regrind quantities and coordinate regrind production and transfer to warehouse.
• Monitor attendance and punctuality of all employees and highlight to Division Lead.
• Coach and train employees as required.
• Audit the rejected materials and report any high turnover of regrind material and report on any higher than usual quantities of regrind for disposal.
• Prepare and lead stock taking exercises for the Blow Moulding Department and submit all required reports to account for variances.
• Conduct any other related duties that may be assigned by the Division Lead or Operations Manager.
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when necessary.
• Comply and perform all duties in conformance with the Company’s/Department’s strategies along with the Quality Management System as it relates to health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform any other job duties as required by the job function.

Qualification & Experience

• Degree in BSc Management Studies or equivalent
• 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Collaborative with the ability to be a key team player and possess good interpersonal skills.
• Resilient and the ability to work effectively under pressure without becoming flustered.
• Ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas clearly sing oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills.

• Ability to organize work so that tasks are completed within time frames, prioritize projects, and communicate progress to supervisor and colleagues.
