Job Title: FINANCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT (TEMP.)
Reports to: MANAGER FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
Division: CORPORATE SERVICES
Department: FINANCIAL SERVICES – FINANCIAL REPORTING, TAXATION, AND GENERAL LEDGER

Job Summary

Responsible for providing accounting and clerical support related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounting transactions.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Receive and enter data for all supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, and credit card reimbursements in the accounting system.
  2. Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, and credit card reimbursements via cheque and bank letter.
  3. Prepare the monthly payroll bank letter for signing and submission to the bank.
  4. Monitor the fleet card balance periodically and ensure timely payments.
  5. Prepare the Monthly Staff Fuel Reimbursement Report for HR.
  6. Compile and submit the Aged Accounts Payables listing for the President’s approval of invoices to be processed by the 5th working day of every month.
  7. Prepare all company Bank Reconciliations by the 5th working day of every month to identify any discrepancies.
  8. Prepare the Monthly Management Report (MMR) and reconciliations for the Manager – Financial Performance’s review by the 10th working day of every month.
  9. Prepare Monthly and Quarterly SEPMM reports.
  10. Assist with year-end audit schedules and auditors’ requests.
  11. Maintain timely filing of all documents, both hard and electronic copies.
  12. Comply fully with the company’s policies, procedures, Core Values, and Charter of Business Ethics.
  13. Perform any other duties as required by the job function.

Education & Job Experience

  • Completed ACCA Level 1 or Certified Accounting Technician (CAT).
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
