Overview: Our client is a global leader in the supply of state-of-the-art retractable canopies, retractable roofs, bespoke outdoor structures and freestanding canopies to major corporations and luxury homes through its network of resellers. Due to the rapid growth in the construction industry and offshore companies setting up offices in the Caribbean, they are seeking to add a professional to the Barbados based team. As a key contributor to the Sales department, this role manages technical issues associated with specifying solutions including design, manufacturability, performance, and serviceability by offering a balance of technical specification and business-related considerations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and solutions to both the Sales Team, customers, and suppliers.
- Ensure that orders filled out by the Sales Team are feasible and contain correct information.
- Accurately input orders into the ERP system and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to recommend process improvements.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Focus in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or Architectural background.
- CAD and Simulation: Exposure to CAD and simulation tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Sketchup) is an asset.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, most importantly Excel; knowledge of macros and VBA is a requirement.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-Motivation: Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
