PRODUCT SECURITY ANALYST

Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Product Security Analyst” at the Operational Risk Department.

The jobholder is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s suite of digital products against vulnerabilities and threats. Working collaboratively with the product and platform teams, the Product Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring that security is integrated into every phase of the development lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Conducting regular security assessments and reviews of digital products to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Collaborating with development teams to incorporate security measures during the design and development phases.
• Performing threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential threats.
• Developing and recommending strategies and measures to mitigate identified risks and vulnerabilities.
• Ensuring digital products comply with applicable security policies, standards, and regulations.
• Assisting in the development and updating of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Participating in the incident response process, including identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security incidents.
• Documenting incidents and post-incident reports including recommendations for future prevention.
• Conducting training sessions and workshops on security-related topics for development teams.
• Utilizing and optimizing security tools to automate the security testing of products.
• Recommending new tools and technologies to enhance security capabilities.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a Security Analyst role, preferably related to product security.
• 3+ years of experience working as a Product Security Analyst.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Familiarity with various security technologies and tools.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCES AND SKILLS

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, organizational, investigative, oral and written communication skills
