Process Plant Operator Trainees (PPO)

The selected candidates will undergo a two (2) year training programme within a supportive learning environment.
The PPO Trainees will undergo two phases of training:
Phase 1: Six (6) months of theoretical, classroom and shift-based training, to provide an introduction to the academics of an ammonia manufacturing system. Upon successful completion of this phase, trainees would advance to field-based training under the guidance of assigned trainers.
Phase 2: Eighteen (18) months of practical training delivered via rotating shift assignments. Topics will be based on Standard Operating procedures and will include Plant start-up; shut down, emergency procedures and exposure to operating peripheral processes; and related equipment. PPO Trainees will also be taught to conduct surveys that include Plant performance, safety and function testing. Additionally, training will be provided to prepare the candidate to function as a member of the Plant’s Emergency Response Team.
Applicants must include a detailed listing of their subjects attained at Ordinary and Advanced Level and Tertiary education showing the grades achieved. Copies of certificates should be submitted.
