Pre-Sales Engineer will be instrumental in driving the technical closure of complex solutions, supporting our transition from a telco-first to a tech-first managed service provider (MSP). Collaborating with sales, products, service delivery, engineering, and technical support resources.

CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales, business development, or a related field within the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience and professional certifications may be considered in lieu of educational backgrounD

DUTIES

  • Deal Management: Manage deals assigned by the B2B sales team, prioritizing efforts to maximize individual productivity and profit, as directed by the Head of Business Solutions.
  • Business Development: Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities within customer accounts. Collaborate with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
  • Technical Solution Scoping: Proactively scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess customer needs, and recommend optimized solutions for both the customer and the firm
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer organization. Adapt solutions as needed to ensure appropriate support and alignment.
  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal sales, sales support, product development, and service resources to align solution design with customer business requirements.
  • Technical Closure: Obtain necessary commitments from customer technical staff to support deal closure.
  •  Service Level Agreements & KPIs: Meet assigned targets for service levels of all solution designs, requests for quotes, proposals, and meeting requests.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the products and services offered. Stay updated with industry trends, continuously enhance technical knowledge, and complete assigned certifications within the specified timeline.
  • Sales Team Training and Development: Provide training to B2B sales team members to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Customer Support Monitoring: Monitor customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process and alert the sales and account teams to potential risks to deal closure.
  • Proposal and Presentation Creation: Create technical proposals and deliver PowerPoint presentations tailored to customers' specific needs.
