Plant Support Manager
Main Purpose of Job:
The successful candidate for the Plant Support Unit Manager will assume a leadership role within the Operations team, emphasizing the critical responsibility of designing comprehensive plans to guide operations. This involves actively engaging with and extracting valuable facts and data from the collaborative efforts of the team members. By leveraging the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology, the individual will not only oversee the execution of these plans but also play a pivotal role in ensuring that the actions taken are informed by accurate and relevant information. Importantly, these meticulously crafted plans are geared towards achieving specific objectives set by upper management. This strategic approach aims to focus on the strategic and operational aspects of data collection, management, and utilization across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and information technology, coupled with a proven track record in data acquisition and strategy implementation.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Data Acquisition Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies for data acquisition to support business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new data sources to enhance business intelligence and decision-making.
2. Data Management and Governance:
- Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data in compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
- Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
3. Collaboration and Integration:
- Work closely with IT, analytics, and business teams to ensure seamless data integration and alignment with business needs.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to leverage data for strategic advantage.
4. Technology and Tools:
- Stay abreast of the latest data acquisition technologies and tools.
- Implement and manage appropriate software and tools for efficient data collection and management.
5. Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop the data acquisition team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing coaching and support.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
6. Analytics and Reporting:
- Support analytics initiatives by providing relevant and high-quality data.
- Generate and present regular reports on data acquisition activities and insights.
7. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external data vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, with at least 2 years in a data acquisition-focused role, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of data acquisition methods, tools, and technologies.
- Experience with data management software and databases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy and protection laws and regulations.
