JUNIOR QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

To perform all but not limited to, Quality Control checks at each stage in the processing from raw materials to finished products and to ensure conformity to the specifications required by the food and safety management system.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skill

1. Diploma in Food Science or equivalent field
2. At least 1- 2 years’ experience working in a food lab environment.
3. Familiarity with Quality/ food safety programs e.g. SSOP, HACCP and ISO standards preferred.
4. Knowledge in Food Microbiology, food safety controls, GMPs and food defense.
5. Previous work experience with auditing and/or product recalls would be an asset.
6. Good Communication skills
7. Ability to work independently and as a team member
8. Strong Math, Statistical and analytical skills with ability to problem solve
9. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail an asset
10. Ability to work shifts, weekends and overtime when necessary.
11. Must be able to follow instructions
12. Must Reside in Arima and Environs.
