Develop and schedule preventative, predictive, condition-based monitoring maintenance processes for critical equipment.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Workflow processes – CM (Corrective Maintenance), PM (Preventative Maintenance) and PJs, (Minor Projects)
• Management of Change processes (MOC) – If engineer recommends a software or plant change, process to ensure its risk assessed, etc and implemented
• Tracking of Refurbish able Spares processes (tagged to leave plant, where its repaired, quality checks, logistics, back onsite in field or stock, to install)
• Utilize OEM manuals, industry best practices, ASME, ISA, API, IEEE, NETA, IEC, ASNT, ASTM standards, FMEAs to develop preventative and predictive maintenance procedures,
• Create form sheets, checklists, inspections forms, to support maintenance procedures, etc.
• Develop Long Term Outage Plan to satisfy all Legal and Regulatory requirements and asset specific maintenance in accordance with the Asset Management system.
• Formulate and document workflows with timelines for all steps in the Outage Planning process.
• Develop and schedule preventative, predictive, condition-based monitoring maintenance processes for critical equipment.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the PM program
• Recommend Predictive Maintenance activities to improve plant reliability.
• Complete Projects assigned from Project Charter to Close out using standard Project Management methodologies.
• Develop appropriate template reports regarding the management of all Outage Planning and Projects utilizing PMP standard.
• Audits of the MOC, TIL, and Contractor Management system.
• Plan all assigned maintenance work activities according to quality standard work package requirements.
• Participate in Planning and Scheduling Meetings and other planning related meetings as required.
• Ensure work packs are complete with job plans, resources, risk assessments, P&IDs and materials are available and staged before scheduling.
• Audit jobs in progress to ensure planning accuracy.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Team Lead to support the function.
• Perform other related duties to support the achievement of the company’s goals and objectives

• Develop workflow for:
- The registration and management of contractors in accordance with the contractor management policy.
- Managing the acquisition, tracking, planning, execution and closeout of Technical Information Letter (TILs) or any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended modifications.
- Maintaining electronic and hard copy records as necessary for compliance with the Asset Management system.
- Managing Capital Parts Tracking program.
• Process and procedure document for creating, updating and managing a Microsoft Project schedule for all outages and capital projects.
Education and Experience:
• BSc in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least seven (7) years’ work experience in the planning of maintenance of a power plant or heavy plant industry as an mechanical engineer with three (3) of which must be a supervisory level. OR
• At least twelve (12) years’ work experience in the planning of a power plant or heavy plant industry as a mechanical technician with five (5) of which must be a supervisory level.
• Project management professional (PMP) certificate will be an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Actively promotes and personally observes HSE procedures and uses tools, equipment and materials effectively.
• Knowledge and experience in maintenance execution and Reliability Engineering.
• Practical experience developing job safety analyses for maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Knowledge and training in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) preferably Maximo and proven track record of ability to use the system.
• Practical use of the MS Project will be an asset.
• Proficiency in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheet and database applications.
