Picking Supervisor

Jamaica's leading manufacturing and distribution company seeks to hire a picking supervisor who has responsibility for coaching, evaluating, and motivating picking team members in fulfilling customers’ orders to ensure a 24-hour order cycle while minimizing stock loss through load auditing.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and motivate picking team including personnel responsible for dispatching of pick list
• Supervise order fulfilment operations ensuring that the team is responding to customers’ demands and achieving set standards
• Manage picking staff in terms of performance and effectiveness ensuring labour optimization
• Complete performance appraisals for picking staff
• Maintain quality service by ensuring quick turn-around of picklist and quality picking practices to minimize on damages
• Audit staged loads against picklist and invoices to minimize stock loss
• Prepare, evaluate, and submit reports on order fulfilment metrics to the relevant management personnel
• Liaises with Junior Warehouse Supervisor & Aisle Coordinator Supervisor to ensure workflow efficiencies
• Any other duties that may be assigned within the scope of the job

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management
• At least three to five (3-5) years’ related experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Efficient and can prioritize workload
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Strong interpersonal, negation and persuasive skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and meet aggressive timelines
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Avid team player
• Solution-oriented with the ability to exercise good logic
• Team leadership and people management skills
