The Production Sanitation Coordinator leads the preparation of a clean and safe environment for the next day’s daily operations of the plant, while ensuring compliance with defined standards regarding employee safety, food safety and product quality.

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Sanitation Coordinator leads the preparation of a clean and safe environment for the next day’s daily operations of the plant, while ensuring compliance with defined standards regarding employee safety, food safety and product quality.  He/she is capable to clean, lubricate, perform simple adjustments, inspect for defects and repair while on shift.

JOB DUTIES

  • To lead the compliance with and guarantee the safety of themselves and production employees during the preparation of production equipment, by leading the identification and elimination of equipment-related safety hazards using risk-based assessments and controls.
  • To develop solutions for identified hazards with HSE personnel and to ensure timely implementation of solutions, enlisting support where necessary.
  • To ensure all mandatory protocols especially related to emergencies and prevention protocols related to behaviors, garments, machinery, equipment and materials
  • To adopt all controls arising out of risk-based assessments and report on the performance of such
  •  To ensure that all materials are appropriately stored to maintain free forklift aisles and safe pedestrian walkways.
  • To ensure that all cleaning/CIP requirements are completed in a timely manner for on time start of production.
  • To ensure that all equipment scheduled for production activity, is cleaned, sanitized and approved for on-time start-up.
  • To ensure that all Chemicals required for the cleaning/CIP activities are available. This includes ensuring timely follow up with the Productivity Manager and Make Ready Coordinator on quantities to be ordered.
  • To lead or escalate equipment failure troubleshooting efforts during their activities to ensure minimized unplanned downtime.
  • To ensure diligent daily monitoring (including sensorial evaluation of product) and the respective documentation of equipment conditions, compliance with HACCP controls and recovery from equipment, material, product for cleaning failure.
  • To lead and ensure that all fire prevention controls related to housekeeping, are consistently adhered to.
  • To ensure that the mixing of product for all scheduled production line is completed for an on-time start-up.
  • To ensure efficient and effective execution of corrective repairs to prevent recurrent downtime

 Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Minimum 3 O’ Level passes including Math and English.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience leading teams
  • Must be able to perform simple calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, formulas operating, quality and maintenance instructions, and procedural documents
  • Understand the basics of scale operations, weights, and measurements
