The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and leading the operations of the service department at an Automotive Company in St. James. This includes ensuring proper workflow, supervising technicians and imparting stellar customer service.

The following job opportunity exists at Stewart’s Auto Sales Limited, St. James, for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual, to fill the position of:

OPERATIONS OFFICER, AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE DEPARTMENT -WESTERN REGION

Some of the key duties of this role include:

Monitoring the workflow of the Service Department whilst adhering to the processes in place and implementing any improvements required.

Assisting management in achieving profit targets on service and parts sales whilst reducing costs wherever possible and ensuring operating costs are minimized.

Monitoring and reviewing work in progress with all relevant staff to ensure that work is flowing steadily through the Service Department

Supervising automotive repair technicians.

Working with all dealership personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.

Ensuring that all service invoices are processed correctly and monies collected.

Maintaining warranty claim processing procedures that permit prompt settlement.

Delivering the correct vehicles to the customers whilst ensuring serviced vehicles have been through quality control, thoroughly cleaned, and road tested, if required,

Producing and providing accurate monthly reports to the After Sales Manager/ Accounts Department, including cash receival from jobs.

Assisting customers with any queries about service repairs and providing general information and customer service.

Ensuring that the company’s and customer’s property are secure whilst in the workshop and reporting any shortfalls to management.

Key competencies, qualifications, and experience required:

Minimum of three years’ work experience in a similar role.

An Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications-Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Strong oral and written skills.

Must pay key attention to details and have good organizational skills.

Having prior experience working in the automotve industry is an asset.

Must be client-driven.
