CocoLaPalm is seeking to hire an experienced Night Auditor to join our team. This individual will be required to perform a variety of managerial functions by providing our guests with a consistently high-quality customer service experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. Determines a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay. Helps guests’ complete registration cards and then assign rooms accommodating special requests whenever possible. Maintains a professional demeanor and provides impeccable guest service.
Balances and verifies front office accounting records for accuracy.
Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day. Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front desk representatives.
Processes guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers. Verifies all account postings made during the day by front desk agents. Monitors the status of coupon, Discount, and other promotional programs.
Is able to function as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures. Run End of day process / Night audit process on the property management software (Nitevision).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
2. Processes guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers.
3. Answer to guest queries
4. Posts guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the front office agent.
5. Verifies all account postings and balances.
6. Monitors the status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.
7. Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
8. Run end of day process in property management software Nitevision
9. Understands principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
10. Knows how to operate PMS, and other front office equipment.
11. Understands and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures and all other front desk tasks and processes.
PREREQUISITES:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent with experience in accounting.
Minimum two years of hotel front desk experience or customer service-related field, skilled in handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks. Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office focusing on excel and building data spreadsheets and summaries.
