The Multimedia Designer is responsible for producing attractive visual content in print and digital media in alignment with individual brand and corporate guidelines.

The Multimedia Designer is responsible for producing attractive visual content in print and digital media in alignment with individual brand and corporate guidelines. A multi media designer is assigned to be the creative professional who combines various forms of media—such as text, graphics, video, animation, and sound—to create engaging and interactive content. Their work spans various media, including marketing ads, film conent, television editing, web development and education asset development. He/She is required to meet with stakeholders to determine the project scope, gather product and other necessary information to provide options, regularly make edits based on feedback received and keep key persons informed during the task duration.

As part of the Marketing team, the Multi Media Designer is also required to support the wider marketing team in its various marketing activities including attendance at planned functions and the provision of general marketing support as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with stakeholders to determine project scope and needs, develop content ideas and perform edits based on feedback received
  • Ability to translate ideas and concepts into graphic designs and visually stunning video assets to produce a wide range of attractive content, including copy, according to brand specifications and guidelines
  • Create original artwork in support of communications programs and marketing strategies by conceptualizing, designing and producing visual representations.
  • Creates and oversees booth designs for events
  • Oversee the final production of artwork including pre-press, printing and other related elements to ensure brand, company and quality standards are met.
  • Co-ordinates with external suppliers, printers, agencies to complete projects
  • Manages the proper filing and storage of digital files while having sufficient artwork completed in the digital bank for immediate use.
  • Takes photos and videos as required.
  • Attend and capture content from events.
  • Work with the marketing team to create content calendars for digital advertising
  • Conduct research on techniques and design ideas to keep up to date with trends.
  • Maintain confidentiality when working on sensitive projects
  • Provide support to the marketing team in the planning and execution of promotional activities and events as required
  • Contribute to the overall team effort by performing any requests that Management may assign as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, communications, marketing or related field
  • In depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite of products including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe PremierPro, Lightroom, After Effects and any other suitable programs.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in a similar position.
  • Prior experience working in a marketing environment.
  • Proficiency with camera equipment and lighting

  • Staying updated with design trends and experimenting with new techniques.
  • Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines under tight schedules.
  • Collaborating effectively with stakeholders, creative teams, and stakeholders.
  • Translating complex ideas into visual storytelling.
  • Adapting designs based on client feedback or project constraints.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues during production.
  • Ensuring design accuracy and consistency across all media.
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Must be a proactive and self-motivated individual
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Have active listening skills and be open to feedback. Must be able to handle rejection of ideas and varying points of view.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work schedule and have excellent time management skills
  • Must be innovative and be able to think outside the box
  • Must be able to present concepts in line with varying budgets
  • Have a good command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation and pronunciation for it to be used correctly in designs, without ambiguity and errors.
  • Be a gate keeper for the correct use of company and brand logos.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule when required
