Merchandisers Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Merchandiser Supervisor to ensure that Merchandisers are trained, properly equipped and in place to facilitate the effective execution of their respective tasks.

A large DISTRIBUTION and FOOD MANUFACTURING COMPANY is seeking to employ qualified, performance-driven, and well experienced Merchandisers Supervisor for island wide.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of merchandisers to achieve operational excellence.
• Schedule and assign tasks to merchandisers, ensuring effective coverage of retail outlets.
• Assist with the training of Merchandisers & Promoters on a timely basis in the field.
• Monitor/check the merchandisers in the field to ensure that their tools are up to date and in proper working order.
2. Merchandising Execution
• Ensure optimal placement of products in stores to maximize visibility and sales.
• Monitor and enforce proper stock rotation (FIFO) to maintain product freshness and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with store managers to secure premium shelf space and implement promotional displays.
• Analyse merchandisers’ routes for greater efficiency.
• Report promotional activity by competitors as well as monitor the effectiveness of the company’s promotional efforts.
3. Inventory Management
• Monitor stock levels at retail locations and coordinate restocking efforts with the Merchandiser and Sales Representative.
4. Retail Relationships
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners to foster collaboration and ensure mutual success.
• Address and resolve any in-store issues promptly and professionally.
5. Compliance & Quality Control
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards for all displayed products.
• Review and weekly sign Refrigerator logs from merchandisers of regular checks to maintain adherence to company and regulatory guidelines.
6. Sales Support & Reporting
• Work closely with the marketing team to support promotions, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches.
• Monitor sales trends and provide reports on product performance, team activities, and customer feedback.

Required Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years Promotions and Merchandising or sales experience, preferably in the food distribution industry
• Will be required to travel island wide
