The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that the company’s products are well-stocked, visually appealing, and effectively promoted across retail locations.
This individual plays a key role in executing merchandising strategies, maintaining shelf standards, and maximizing product visibility to drive consumer demand and sales.
Visit assigned supermarket locations on a scheduled route to replenish and merchandise stock.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked, correctly labeled and priced, clean and organized according to planograms and merchandising guidelines.
Execute promotional setups, including in-store displays, point-of-sale materials and end caps in alignment with brand strategies.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store staff and sales teams to manage restocking and prevent stockouts and product expirations.
Conduct regular audits to verify and report on product pricing, shelf positioning, and competitive activity.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with store personnel and management to support optimal product placement and promotional execution.
Collect data and report on product movement, shelf space, competitor activity, and consumer trends.
Assist with addressing product discrepancies, returns, or damages in coordination with the sales and logistics teams.
Ensure compliance with in-store health and safety standards and company merchandising policies.
High school leaving certificate.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift, carry, and stock products (up to a maximum of 50lbs).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations.
