The overall purpose is to provide leadership and guidance for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, services, equipment, tools and information throughout the supply chain.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Inventory Management:
      • Inventory Planning & Control (inventory strategies, forecast demand, monitoring stock)
      • Stock replenishment (reorder levels, timely deliveries)
      • Inventory accuracy & audits (ongoing stock checks, investigate discrepancies, record keeping)
      • Inventory optimization (reduction of excess/obsolete stock, optimize turnover and reduce carrying cost)
    • Warehouse Management:
      • Warehouse operations (overseeing daily activities, warehouse layout and organization)
      • Implement a warehouse management system   
      • Receiving & Quality Control (inspection of incoming goods, accurate documentation)
      • Order fulfilment & shipping (Timely picking, packing and receipt)
      • Safety & Compliance (ISO 9001, STOW and OSH compliance; maintaining safe working environment)
    • Manage local and foreign purchasing functions including managing price negotiations with freight forwarders and shippers, and all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of the necessary materials and services.
    • Collaborate with operations to meet customer demands including addressing customer complaints on products or delivery, etc.
    • Team leadership & Staff Development.
    • Continuous improvement in terms of processes, cost control and budgeting.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Arts or another Undergraduate Degree in a related field – Inventory, Supply Chain Management, etc.
    • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply CIPS certificate (Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply aimed at senior procurement)
  • Experience:
    • Insight into economic conditions and market dynamics
    • Knowledgeable and experienced using an ERP system
    • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics or Warehouse Management role with at least five (5) of these in a Supervisory role.
    • Experience in the energy sector.
