The overall purpose is to provide leadership and guidance for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, services, equipment, tools and information throughout the supply chain

  • Responsibilities:
    • Develop appropriate SCM strategies that increase efficiency, performance and maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest cost possible.
    • Manage the expediting, inventory, purchasing and warehousing teams and functions including assessing the allocation of resources, approvals of documents, delivery of products to customers and prioritizing activities to ensure client requirements are met.
    • Vendor Management- perform audits and evaluations of current and potential suppliers.
    • Warehousing- implement strategies to improve service quality, employee efficiency, equipment performance and interdepartmental communication.
    • Inventory Control- ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and delivery notes; manage inventory schedules.
    • Expediting- Manage all price negotiations with Freight Forwarders and third-party transportation partners. Ensure most cost-effective solutions.
    • Purchasing- Manage all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of the necessary materials and services needed to meet the varying levels of demand, analysis of purchase patterns and delivery data.  
    • Audit Responsibilities in relation to the ISO 9001:2015 requirements and Financial audits
    • Lead the team in executing best practices and measuring performance.
    • Perform other duties as may be required to ensure the timely achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Arts or another Undergraduate Degree in a related field – Inventory, Supply Chain Management, etc.
    • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply CIPS certificate (Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply aimed at senior procurement)
  • Experience:
    • Insight into economic conditions and market dynamics
    • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Materials Management, Logistics or Warehouse Management role with at least five (5) of these in a Supervisory role.
    • Experience in the energy sector would be an asset.
