Candidates would be required to:

  • Accomplish information technology staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results;
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce information technology policies and procedures;
  • Maintain the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies;
  • Direct technological research by studying organization’s goals, strategies, practices, and user projects;
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and the wider organization;
  • Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies;
  • Ensure assets are preserved by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures;
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements;
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective action;
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards;
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing the organization’s information technology learning networks;
    • Perform all other related duties.

Candidates would be required to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management;
  • Good knowledge of information analysis and Business intelligence;
  • Sound knowledge of computer hardware and software systems;
  • Experience in computer operations, technical support or systems programming;
  • The ability to explain complex systems in simple terms;
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.

Successful candidates should possess:

  • A MSc in Computer Science, Information System Management, Computer Information Systems or any other Computer related Master’s degree with a programming / engineering emphasis; and
  • At least six (6) years experience in an IT department of which three (3) years’ must be in a supervisory position;
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Oracle and Cisco products will be an asset. OR
  • A BSc. in Computer Science, Information System Management, Computer Information Systems or any other Computer related Bachelor’s degree with a programming / engineering emphasis
  •  At least ten (10) years’ experience in an IT department of which three (3) years’ must be in a supervisory position;
  • A combination of certifications in Microsoft, Oracle and Cisco products.
