The Manager plays a crucial role in supporting and overseeing various financial and accounting activities ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Organizes the workflow and goals management of the department for effective service delivery
Building and maintaining client relationships in furtherance of departmental growth
Develop and implement policies and procedures necessary for meeting the requirements of AOS’ clients and ensuring a satisfied clientele
Liaise with staff to ensure they comply with set client service standards in carrying out job duties
Participation in company-wide groups and cross functions with peers to ensure collaboration for shared goals
Working with the COO/ Executives and Management for strategy development and execution planning
Communicating financial and key performance indicators to direct reports
Defining roles of staff and guiding the talent identification in support of effective service delivery and organisation objectives
Creating succession plans and development opportunities for staff.
Supporting initiatives related to risk management for clients and client related services
Providing coaching and mentorship to staff
Conducting relevant training to all direct reports to ensure continuous growth and development
Create and promote an environment that inculcates the values of the company
Prepare proposals, RFP’s, engagement letters as well as costing for potential jobs
Prepare budgets for the department for each financial year
Review of deliverables to Finance Department- WIP, invoicing etc. and take action where necessary
Conducts timely performance reviews with the overall intent of closing gaps and identifying changes to KPI’s and professional developmental plans by established deadlines
Monitors job profitability and attends meetings with clients as necessary
Prepare, review and approve; 1. Monthly accounts 2. Annual Management and Statutory accounts and working Papers file, in accordance with IFRS 3. Bi-monthly VAT and quarterly taxes computations and filling of respective returns 4. Tax computations including deferred taxes
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
ACCA qualified
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Sound knowledge of accounting software
Sound understanding of Tax and VAT laws and regulations
Comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
