Maintenance Supervisor

 

Duties and Responsibilities - Maintenance Supervisor

 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department

   Plan and execute activities relating to preventative, predictive, corrective & emergency maintenance and condition monitoring

• Coordinate effective systems for the maintenance of the facility and equipment

• Supervise and lead maintenance processes and operations

• Implement procedures for preventative maintenance

• Ensure the adherence to quality, food and health safety regulations

• Orders tools, supplies and equipment, maintain general inventory and conduct

   stock counts

• Complete relevant documentation to ensure standard compliance

• Direct activities of workers and contractors and communicate company policies

• Conduct training for maintenance activities

• Inspect buildings, equipment and systems to identify issues and provide

   solutions

 

Qualifications/Experience and other requirements

 

• Degree/Diploma in Plant/Maintenance Management or equivalent

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a

   manufacturing environment

• Very good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

   Hands-on approach to plant equipment and facility repairs and maintenance

• Willingness to work on shifts and weekends

• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

• Working knowledge of pressurized systems, plant mechanics, electrical,

   plumbing, carpentry and masonry trades and the use of power tools

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulic systems, ventilation, refrigeration

   and electronics

• Knowledge of food safety and occupational health & safety
