POSITION: MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Job Summary

 The Maintenance Planner will ensure that maintenance activities are planned and scheduled to optimize use of all resources – people, time, costs while assuring compliance with all food and HSE policies

 

 Principal duties and Responsibilities

  •  Plan, schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximise use of Maintenance Technicians and minimise downtime
  • Ensure that all equipment maintenance activities are logged on the Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
  • Develop plan in consultation with all stakeholders and schedule work for daily and weekend activities based on planned and corrective maintenance work requests using the CMMS
  • Ensure maintenance records are filed as per department standards
  • Review predictive checks and carry out follow up work.
  • Review all service contracts to ensure that contract works are on schedule and all contracted equipment is working in accordance with required specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors carrying out ongoing projects to ensure work aligns with the maintenance schedule, safety standards, and project specifications
  • Review and update the maintenance management programme related to amendments of the preventive or predictive maintenance schedule (e.g. repetitive problems).
  • Prepare maintenance technicians’ roster.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports as required by the Department.
  • Update Behaviour Observation System (BOS) tracking system ensuring that all WOs are generated to address unsafe conditions
  • Comply and promote the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Food Safety and other company policies established by the Company.

  • Meet Department Maintenance Budgets
  • Achieve NPT Equipment KPI’s
  • Achieve Scrap % KPI’s
  • Adhere to all HSE and Food Safety KPIs.

General Requirements

  • Technician Diploma, MET or EEET
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an Engineering environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  •  Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Software will be an asset.
  • Works effectively in a Team environment.
  • Flexibility to move quickly across changing priorities and manage multiple Projects/ Programs
  • Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement and Knowledge of Lean CI methodology is an added value.
