Our Company is seeking to hire a Logistics & Supply Officer who will plan, implement, and monitor our overall supply chain and logistics strategy, to maximize efficiency and productivity in this end-to-end process. The ideal candidate is a conscientious individual with deductive reasoning and problem-solving sensitivity abilities, as well as demonstrable knowledge and experience. S/he will examine existing procedures or opportunities to streamline activities to meet product distribution needs and direct the movement, storage, and processing of inventory.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic management and oversight of the supply chain to ensure that the Company receives required supplies and equipment on time, in budget and to required quality and specifications.
  • Implement supplier lists, price lists, conduct price controls, market research, and consolidate work orders.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Develop and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the Company, at the Dispensaries, and at the Farm.
  • Maintain required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety.
  • Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
  • Execute the procurement of good including communicating with and coordinating the movement of goods between suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar related field required.
  • Three years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics, or similar relevant position required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, and other related supply chain management software
