Loans Securities Officer

The Loan Securities Officer is responsible for managing the process of securing loans with collateral, ensuring they are properly registered in all governmental systems and organizations.

The Loan Securities Officer is responsible for managing the process of securing loans with collateral, ensuring they are properly registered in all governmental systems and organizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and protecting Dolla’s interests. This role involves working closely with lenders, borrowers, governmental institutions and the legal, governance and compliance department to evaluate, monitor, and manage the collateral associated with loans.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Prepare collateral security documents for execution in respect of loan applications
• Review contingent liabilities and review collateral support for sufficiency and accuracy
• Assess and determine the accuracy and completeness of security documents and related documentation used to support loan applications
• Provide legal documentation services to the Credit Underwriting Unit (CUU) and or branches &/or other support units within when required
• Verify and determine the accuracy and completeness of legal documents received from external counsel, financial institutions and all interested parties in support of loan applications, ensuring that the Bank’s Letter of Undertaking has been satisfied
• Monitor and maintain a register for insurance renewal dates daily, to ensure full compliance and prompt renewals and endorsements for securities pledged to Dolla.
• Check off input of NSIPP weekly and ensure that all are accounted for
