Line Cook
Job Title: Line Cook
Department: Kitchen
Reporting to: Sous Chef and Head Chef
Job Purpose:
Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

Working Conditions
A Grill cook generally works in a kitchen or in such places where there is a danger of cuts and burns. The environment is hot and full with cooking activities. He may feel uncomfortable due to the heat and fast movements of the waiters and other cooks.
