Legal Secretary, Conveyancing and Probate at a Kingston Law Firm

 

 Minimum Requirements (Please read carefully before applying):

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in General Conveyancing & Probate Practices

 

  • Minimum of 5 GCE/CXC passes or the equivalent, inclusive of English Language and Mathematics

 

  • Secretarial/Paralegal training or equivalent qualifications

 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

 

  • Working knowledge interfacing with representatives from: Stamp Office, Titles Office, Supreme Court and Companies Office. 

 

  • Must be efficient and detail-oriented with excellent, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills both orally and in written format

 

  • Must be able to use initiative and to undertake multiple assignments simultaneously

 

Key Functions

 

  • To provide full secretarial and legal services to the Attorney-At-Law ensuring that the relevant duties are executed in a timely and efficient manner

 

  • Liaise with internal departments and external clients

 

  • To prepare basic legal documents, correspondence, reports, invoices, and accounting documents, on behalf of your supervisor

 

  • Attention to detail required
