The Learning and Development Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of the organization's workforce. This position involves supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training programs and initiatives that foster employee growth and development.

Description of Responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager in identifying the hotel's Specific Learning Needs (DNC).
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the annual training budget.
  • Support in the implementation of corporate and local learning programs at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain and update the records of corporate and hotel learning programs.
  • Coordinate the requirements and necessary materials (BEO, logistics, training room, evaluations, etc.) for the delivery of the Orientation Program of the new hosts according to the corporate guidelines.
  • Coordinate the dissemination of dates of the orientation (induction) courses of new hosts with the Executive Committees, Operations Committee and hotel leaders to ensure the attendance of new hosts.
  • Support and track the configuration of users on the BD Center-Smarter U platform, the creation of host accounts and permissions, advises departmental leaders and hosts on the use of the platform. Management of the Training Budget.
  • Assist in the administration of the authorized budget for Learning and Development programs.
  • Ensure the efficiency and correct application of the financial resources allocated for Learning and Development.
  • Collaborate in the planning, coordination and logistical execution of learning and development programs. Evaluation of Learning Programs.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the impact of training programs on staff performance.
  • Apply satisfaction surveys, knowledge assessments, and collect feedback from participants.
  • Measure the results of training programs using KPIs.
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of external training providers in accordance with corporate guidelines. Talent development and career planning.
  • Support in the identification and promotion of internal talent through development programs.
  • Coordinate and execute internal and external development programs such as cross training, coaching, and professional and executive development programs.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team in training and designing action plans to improve skills and address performance issues.
  • Foster an organizational culture that promotes learning and continuous improvement.
  • Follow up on Learning and Development activities that comply with labor legislation established by government regulatory institutions.
  • ·Perform their respective role in the department's briefing to be informed and updated on the relevant problems of the hotel's operation, taking into account what is necessary for the execution of the daily task.
  •  Comply with the standards of personal presentation and uniformity established by the Hotel Management to ensure the professional and impeccable projection of each of the Hosts of their department.
  •  Promote compliance with the philosophy, values, policies and objectives of the company among the different members of the department, to help fulfill the service promise made to the Guest.
  • · Contribute to safeguarding the physical integrity of employees and property, complying with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • · Participate in Blue Diamond Resorts' ESG program.
  • · Fulfill the instructions, tasks and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior, complying with the service provided by the hotel.

 

Experience and Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  •  Minimum experience 2 years in the position of Training and Development Coordinator or Assistant in the Hotel sector.
  •  Knowledge of Development and Learning Management systems.
