LOGISTICS COORDINATOR/FLEET SUPERVISOR

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the proper coordination of the logistics for the purchase, production and distribution of goods, equipment, material, in the most streamlined and cost-effective way possible and maximize efficiency.

JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the proper coordination of the logistics for the purchase, production and distribution of goods, equipment, material, in the most streamlined and cost-effective way possible and maximize efficiency.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
2. Receiving, processing, issuing goods, equipment and material for delivery, ensuring specifications; quantity and quality of goods are correct and consistent with the policies and objectives of the service delivery procedure to the client’s location.
3. Utilize Logistics IT to optimize procedures
4. Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
5. Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure the meet needs
6. Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
7. Plan and Track the shipment of final products according to customer requirement.
8. Prepare accurate reports for Upper Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• First Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
• Training in Inventory Management or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience in logistics management
