JUNIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Hybrid/Kingston)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Develop and maintain technical knowledge of business systems and environments.
• Utilize Laravel, along with PHP, Java, SQL, .NET, and other pertinent tools, to build new software solutions.
• Make code changes to existing software applications and programs, ensuring their functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure excellent customer service is delivered, addressing customer support issues promptly and driving solutions to completion.
• Develop reports using Crystal Report, Power BI, and Tableau to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
• Perform regular service implementations following best practices and standards.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and infrastructure changes to ensure the quality of software for production.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies, contributing to project planning and execution.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and
• requirements, ensuring solutions meet their expectations.
• Utilize Vue.js for front-end development, creating interactive user interfaces and enhancing user experience.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends by reviewing IT publications and online materials.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in software development or a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Java, SQL, and .NET.
• Proficiency in Laravel.
• Experience with back-end web development and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of databases and data management.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, API development, and DevOps practices is a plus. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development.
