Job Summary
The Area Coach is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the operational, sales, and personnel management of multiple retail locations within a defined area. This position ensures the consistent application of corporate standards, operational excellence, and financial performance across all assigned locations. The Area Coach will collaborate closely with store managers to optimize performance, drive sales, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in sales, marketing, and retail management, with a proven track record of effectively leading teams, managing multi-unit operations, and driving organizational success.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Operational Excellence
- Conduct regular evaluations of store operations to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and gold standards for food safety, health, and cleanliness.
- Lead the implementation of operational best practices, continuously identifying and executing improvements to maximize efficiency and service quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for store managers regarding operational inquiries, providing support, guidance, and ensuring consistency across all locations.
- Conduct regular operational audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly and in line with corporate expectations.
- Ensure all equipment at the retail locations are functioning to its standard and any issues which arise at the retail locations are reported addressed by the Service providers.
- During store refurbishments and image enhancements assist with managing both the service providers and the staff to ensure an efficient completion of the project.
2. Sales Strategy & Marketing Execution
- Collaborate with store managers to develop and execute robust sales strategies, including the creation of weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
- Analyze sales performance data across locations to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement.
- Drive the successful implementation of national and local marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and effective execution at the store level.
- Stay informed on local market conditions, competitors, and industry trends, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain competitiveness.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and support store managers in all aspects of people management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the creation and management of weekly staff schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Regularly assess employee performance, providing actionable feedback and fostering an environment of continuous professional development and growth.
- Ensure all staff information, including attendance, payroll, and HR-related records, is accurate and up to date across all locations.
4. Financial & Inventory Management
- Ensure effective inventory control systems are in place, minimizing waste and stock discrepancies, while ensuring product availability.
- Review and analyze store-level financial performance, providing feedback and action plans to store managers to improve profitability and cost management.
- Partner with procurement teams to manage the supply chain process, ensuring timely deliveries, accurate order quantities, and appropriate stock rotation.
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales targets, customer satisfaction scores, and operational compliance, at both store and area levels.
- Compile comprehensive performance reports for senior management, highlighting trends, opportunities for improvement, and actionable insights.
- Develop and execute data-driven action plans aimed at achieving operational and financial targets while ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
6. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, including food safety, labor laws, and company policies across all locations.
- Conduct compliance audits regularly, identifying any areas of non-compliance and ensuring corrective actions are implemented swiftly.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and national regulations affecting food chain operations, ensuring that all locations are fully compliant.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a multi-unit retail or food service environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies, managing budgets, and driving performance improvements.
- Proven expertise in people management, with strong capabilities in coaching, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and operational auditing within a retail or food service setting.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems, sales analytics tools, and inventory management software.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Information
- The Area Coach will be required to travel frequently between store locations within their assigned area.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak business periods is required.
- The role reports to the Operations Manager and involves regular collaboration with corporate and store-level leadership teams.
Salary: Base $8,000.00 with a monthly $2,000.00 incentive.
