Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Job Summary: As an assistant accountant, you will be part of an accounting firm, providing various financial services to its clients. They are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and result-oriented candidate to be a part of their team.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Data entry, posting of invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
2. Calculation of statutory taxes – Green Fund and Business Levy, VAT Returns
3. Bank Reconciliations
4. Preparation of Payroll – Calculation of NIS, PAYE, Health Surcharge.
5. Assisting in Preparation of Financial Statements
6. Use of accounting software, namely Quickbooks, Peachtree etc.

Job Requirements:

• Professional Experience – ACCA Level 2
• Experience in working with an accounting software, namely, Quickbooks
• At least 3-5 years working experience in a similar position
• Being able to work extended hours if required to meet deadlines

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary - $7,000 TT/mth
