The Inventory Coordinator will safeguard and monitor inventory daily by reviewing product inflows and outflows to detect discrepancies and make timely corrections. Additionally, review the layout and track daily storage capacity.

  • Conduct daily physical inventory counts and compare them with theoretical counts to identify discrepancies, delivering both preliminary and final daily reports.
  • Review product inflows and outflows, generate reports, and monitor storage capacity at the agency. 
  • Conduct cycle count procedures additional to the daily physical inventory checks, particularly for high-value or fast-moving items.
  • Improve inventory optimization by monitoring slow-moving and obsolete inventory to recommend action and avoid capacity issues
  • Implement inventory loss controls to minimize inventory shrinkage due to theft, loss or damage. Recommend actions when discrepancies are identified or when security measures are breached.
  • Comply with inventory practices and standards to ensure the regulatory norms are followed using well-prepared inventory reports and daily controls
  • Compilation of weekly Best Before Expiration report and follow-up on the actions.
  • Check-In for manual shipments and validation of routes for cancelation and deletion.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring timely corrections for optimal operational functionality.
  • Reviewing and tracking all delivery documents such as debit notes
  • Perform monthly adjustments, uploading and unloading materials based on inventory records and discrepancies.
  • Run the Stock Out process daily.

 

Specialized knowledge, skills and training required: 

 

  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on investigating, analysing, and recognizing inventory patterns.
  • Proactively identify root causes of challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Has a foundational understanding of supply chain management, including goods flow, order fulfilment, logistics, and warehousing processes.
  • Exhibit strong communication and reporting skills, generating detailed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory summaries.
  • Liaise effectively with suppliers, warehouse staff, and upper management, collaborating with finance and operations teams to ensure smooth operations and quick issue resolution.
  • Proficient in software tools such as Excel for managing data and generating reports.

 

Academic qualifications and requirements for the role:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in inventory management or supply chain business functions.
  • Extensive SAP knowledge
  • Working knowledge of inventory management tools and software
