ATL Automotive is seeking to hire an Inventory Controller who will be responsible for the count, reconciliation, documentation, costing, and stock adjustment to inventory and non-inventory items.

Inventory Controller

His/Her duties extend to the creation and posting of Part Numbers and other items within company guidelines.

Core Functions:

Daily

  • Monitoring – Journal, Parts Transfers, Re-posting Receivable Sub-Ledger Inventory Costings, Appreciation Depreciation Reconciliation.
  • Costings of Goods received (Local and Imported).
  • Costings (Non Inventory).
  • Inventory Update / Posting of: (spare parts)- local purchases, overseas shipments, Body Shop Repairs, Obsolete parts.
  • Posting of Goods received (Local and Imported).
  • Post Parts Transfers- Spares being transferred between all locations.
  • Perpetual Counts- All Locations (assisted by designated counter).
  • Authorized Stock Adjustments – (e.g. Service Package Part Numbers).

Weekly                              

  • Parts Count Report- All Locations.
  • Detailed Parts Inventory Report – All Autohaus locations.
  • Parts Summary Valuation Report- All Parts Inventory and Goods in Transit Local and International.
  • Export Order Acknowledgements and Claims.

Monthly

  • Journal Entry- Spare parts, Non inventory.
  • Archive Month End Reports.
  • Report Work in Process (W.I.P) check.
  • Warranty Receivable Sub-ledger.
  • Goods in transit.
  • Foreign Payable Sub-ledger.
  • Clearance Charges Sub-ledger.
  • Aid in Reconciliation of Supplier’s Statement Reconciliation.
  • Supplier’s Statement Reconciliation.
  • Inventory Recon- All Locations.
  • Warranty Recon- All Locations.
  • Warranty Receivable Recon.
  • Payment Request (spare parts)- All Overseas suppliers (see list above) DHL(freight).
  • Landed Cost Factor Report.
  • Monthly Variance Reports.
  • Reconciliation of assigned Balance Sheet Account.

General

  • Prepare costing for inventory and non-inventory received.
  • Posting receipts.
  • Stock adjustment.
  • Reconciliation of inventory sub-ledger.
  • Reconciliation of stock count to sub-ledger.
  • Inventory supplies statement and reconciliation to sub-ledger.
  • Maintain warranty sub-ledger- post claims, credit rates and cash received from suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly customs report.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly count reports.
  • Preserve the good name and reputation of ATL Automotive Limited and ATL Group, in general, through demonstration and practice of the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Assist with other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skillset Required:

  • Business Administration Diploma/AAT Level 3/CAT Level 3.
  • At least two (2) yrs. working experience within the accounting environment.
  • Experience in Automotive industry an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 O- Levels/CXC including English and Accounts.
  • Use of Business English, Report Writing and Computer Training.
  • Computer literate with computer application and software i.e. Windows/Excel/Access/Outlook. Ability to input and access information from a computer.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s Licence.

 *This individual may be required to work weekends and extended hours in order to meet reporting deadlines.
