Background and Role Summary
Working collaboratively with our client, a leading manufacturer and exporter based in Barbados, Profiles Caribbean Inc. is seeking to hire an Industrial Reporting Analyst. He/she will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data and producing reports that provide detailed insights into the performance of the company’s systems and processes as well as overall organisational outputs.
Summary of Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide the timely preparation and accurate monthly management accounts and reporting in line with Group reporting deadlines and policies.
- Work closely with Operations team to deliver targeted production process outputs and standard product within budget.
- Execute monthly analysis of variances in procurement and production consumption, production volumes along with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform quality control over industrial transactions and financial reporting with responsibility for all production variance reporting and month end industrial close.
- Hold responsibility for monthly reporting on Company KPIs and performance.
- Work closely with internal/external auditors compiling and providIng requested information and responding to various requests required to complete the audits.
- Update standard costs in the accounting system on a yearly basis providing in-depth analysis including product profitability, cost/cost of sales impact and variance analysis.
- Coordinate Cost of Goods improvement projects and initiatives with emphasis on cost reduction.
- Actively manage Inventory and Industrial overheads (Production, Manufacturing, and Warehousing) whilst identifying cost savings opportunities.
- Review performance of Bill of Materials (new or existing) as it relates to product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods prior to costing.
Summary of Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- A Professional Accounting Designation or at final level.
- At least 3-5 years experience in an industrial controlling function.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Working knowledge of SAP would be an asset
