Provide support to the Chief Technical Officer to implement and support IT based systems to include Cinema Systems, accounting based systems and the general network infrastructure. Carry out processing and due diligence required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure network security through passwords, user profiles, backup and general maintenance of

files and offsite storage

  • Provide information and training network security and best practices for computer usage
  • Process data information
  • Monitor and maintain:
    • Cinema Digial Projectors and Servers
    • Telecommunication Systems, to include PBX, Fibre connections, CISCO routers, CUG phones
    • Provide technical support to the Call Centre and Cinemas as required (on call)
    • Install new software and hardware components
    • Evaluate IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands
    • Assist with network administration tasks
    • Ensure data storage is safe and secure
    • Resolve all IT systems and software issues
    • Support day-to-day operations of computer network

Suitable Applicants should have:

  • Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CISSP, MCSE, Network+) or equivalent courses
  • Related certification at the technical or tertiary level
  • Two years experience in a similar role
  • Proven networking skills
  • Exposure to Linux based systems,.
  • Knowledge of SQL database as well as Windows management servers 
  • Experience in solving a variety of desktop and user issues, within an IT environment
  • Good analytical and technical skills, and sound judgment
  • Sound oral and written communication skills
  • Good time management
