IT Officer

Our client who operates several quick service restaurants islandwide, is seeking a skilled and reliable IT Officer to monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of their organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults, and providing technical support. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve technical and applications problems in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues, diagnosing hardware or software faults.
  • Provide procedural documentation and generate relevant reports for troubleshooting tasks.
  • Support the roll-out of new applications and manage updates and patches.
  • Set up new user accounts, manage profiles, and assist with password issues.
  • Respond to call-outs and resolve technical problems within agreed time limits.
  • Work collaboratively with software developers and other professionals to address issues.
  • Maintain and update inventory items, promotions, discounts, menus, and tenders in the POS System.
  • Administer company hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, and smartphones.
  • Support and manage security updates, software deployment, and ensure compliance with company protocols.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with internal teams and external suppliers.

 Qualifications, Experience, Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • ITIL, A+, and MCP Certifications are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of help desk software, databases, and remote control.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Office 365.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT support or similar capacity.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Customer service orientation and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations abilities.
  • Ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor team members.
  • Flexibility and initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong work ethics, integrity, and attention to detail.
