ICT Sales Director Aviation Communications

(AV COM) Jamaica Limited invites suitable candidates to apply for the position of ICT Sales Director. AV COM is an information and communications technology company, specializing in the development and delivery of optimal business and technology solutions including two-way radio communications, data centre solutions, networking solutions, security systems, wireless communications, aeronautical communications, video surveillance and video analytics among others.

The company is embarking on ground-breaking opportunities and projects in Jamaica and we are looking for a dynamic and driven technical salesperson to join our team! We are a leading technology company looking to expand our sales team and grow our business. You will be responsible for generating new business leads, managing existing client relationships, closing deals and leading the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record of success in sales. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be selfmotivated, and able to work independently.

You will work closely with our technical team to understand our products and services, and be able to effectively communicate their value to potential clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prospecting and generating new business leads

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients

• Demonstrating our products and services to potential clients

• Closing deals and meeting sales targets

• Collaborating with our technical team to ensure customer satisfaction

• Understand the full portfolio of products and services provided

• Meet with customers and potential customers to gather information, understand business processes and develop an initial understanding of the solution requirement.

• Produce and document solution designs and network topology diagrams to support the technical solution being proposed.

• Able to demonstrate the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission & rapport and influencing

• Create professional service proposals for implementation and consulting.

• Liaise closely with Product Management, Business Development managers, Project managers and Implementation/Operations managers.

• Oversee proof of concept trials and technology demonstrations for partners & enterprise level customers.

• Delivering product sales and presales

• Maintain vendor relationship to ensure technical support and competitive pricing • Meetings with customers to understand requirements and create a future proof solution

• Drive customer acquisition and expansion to increase company revenues

• Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction through effective client engagement

• Create a culture of success and ongoing business to foster increase in market share, profitability, growth and goal achievement

• Continuous review and identification of products and services to create competitive advantage and expand product portfolio

. • Development of business strategy to increase market share

• Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth

• Define optimal sales force structure

• Drive infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function

• Manage key customer relationships and integral in closing strategic opportunities

• Coach and measure key activity metrics, adherence to sales process and company positioning

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an engineering discipline

• MBA a plus

• Minimum 5 years in similar position

• Proven track record of success in technical sales and managing sales operations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead a team

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of industry trends and technologies

• Knowledge of access control, video surveillance and security solutions

• Extensive knowledge of cloud services, voice, security and networking solutions

• Certification in Enterprise Solutions (VOIP, WiFi, Network & Switching, Cyber Security, Server & Storage, Cloud Services & Infrastructure).

• Strong understanding of IT products and services.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

• Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

• Results-driven with a track record of achieving sales targets.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

• Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.

• Knowledge of market research and analysis.

• Ability to travel as needed
