Position Summary

To provide support to the PCs, peripherals, and productivity software of end users, and to communications equipment to ensure the availability and reliability of communications and connectivity

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configures, installs, tests and maintains PCs and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves routine problems on communications equipment
  • Monitors communications equipment and initiates action for service and repair.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and resolves standard office productivity software and other software application problems.
  • Tracks and follows-up on progress on all service requests through to resolution.
  • Submits complete and accurate records of service requests addressed.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, including all hardware service checks and software updates. 
  • Assist in inventory tracking and decommissioning of obsolete hardware
  • Adheres to the relevant processes and procedures to assure efficient delivery of services.
  • Complies with safety standards.
  • Identify, research, resolve and follow up with external expertise on all day-to-day ICT related issues as applied to the Credit Union’s operations
  • Performs any other related duties as required.

General Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Five (5) GCE or CXC O’ Levels including Maths and English
  • BSc. in Computer Science or a related field

Experience

  • At least two (2) years of experience providing end user support
  • Experience in data network, field support, implementation, troubleshooting, hardware/software maintenance and repair

Technical Knowledge

Knowledge in at least one (1) of the following:

  • PC Repairs Certification
  • A+ Certification
  • Network Certification
