The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of all relevant Human Resource activities. He or she is responsible for liaising with all relevant stakeholders and complete the necessary actions to ensure a vibrant and engaged workforce.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the overall execution of Human Resources administration activites to include but not limited to database, file management and benefit administration, liaise with Insurance broker on Employee Health Card queries or adjustments, coordinate the deletions and adjustments to pension plan monthly.
  • Responsible for the management of all disciplinary cases that arises.
  • Conduct and provide oversight to the Payroll process to include the approval of all leave applications inputted in Human Resources Management System prior to payroll action and review submission of payroll supporting documents for both Fortnighty and Monthly payrolls.
  • Acts as chief liaison with the Insurance Brokers, medical providers and Health & Safety Officers i nrelation to submission and collections Employment Injury/Employer's Liability issues.
  • Cordination of Employee Rewards & Recognition programs.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure that team members are in compliance with the rules governing the property as well as that of the company.
  • Provide supervision and coaching to the Human Resources team.
  • Any other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a senior Human Resource capacity.
  • Experience using a Biometric Clock System and a HRMIS is an asset.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Advanced computer proficiency to include use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour laws and relevant industrial practices.
  • Ability to handle tasks with competing priorities.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent Time Management and organizational skills.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Detail oriented.
