A dynamic organization in the General Insurance industry is seeking to fill the position of Human Resources Coordinator. The incumbent will assist with recruitment, maintain employee records, assist with payroll processing and provide administrative support to all employees

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct recruitment activities. Support the recruitment process by sourcing candidates and performaing onboarding and off boarding activities;
  • Maintaining records of personnel-related data in both paper and the digital formats; 
  • Coordinate Learning and Development activities;
  • Coordinate Employee Team Engagement exercises;
  • Preparation of payroll related documents;
  • Procurement duties for the HR Department as required;
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries;
  • Assist Supervisors during the Performance Management Reviews; 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Tertiary level education e.g. First Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline;
  • Minimum two(2) years experience as a Human Resources Coordinator or Administrator;
  • Human Resources experience in a unionized environment would be as asset; 
  • Previous experience in the General Insurance or Financial Industry is an asset.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of human resource prrocesses and best practices;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong ability in using Microsoft Office applications;
  • Experience with HR Databases and HRIS systems is an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of Agile HR Concepts;
  • Familiarity with socila media recruiting;
  • Proficient in the use of Canva or other designing platforms;
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality;
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and exercise good judgement;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and on own initiative;
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines;
  • High level of initiative, self-confidence, motivation and adaptability;
  • High energy, self-motivated and results oriented;
  • High level of integrity and accountability;
  • Excellent listener with good presentation skills;
  • Strong time and project management skills;
  • Plan, manage and use own time effectively;
  • Exhibit professionalism, integrity, etiquette, courtesy and self confidence;
  • Have a strong customer service mindset.
