Human Resource Manager (People Manager)

A premier large-scale hotel in Montego Bay is seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resource Manager (People Manager) to lead their HR department and support their commitment to delivering world-class hospitality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR Operations: Oversee all aspects of the HR department, including payroll, employee relations (both collective and individual), learning and development, recruitment, and employee benefits.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and tax regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor relations requirements.
  • Support Operational Areas: Provide recruitment and assessment services to all operational departments, ensuring staffing needs are met with high-quality candidates.
  • Advisory Role: Offer expert advice to management on HR policies and best practices, fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Disciplinary Process Management: Conduct and manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Onboarding and Employee Journey: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires and contribute to a positive employee experience throughout their career journey with the hotel.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate HR records and provide necessary reports to headquarters.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as an HR Manager, with a minimum of 10 years in HR roles.
  • Industry Background: Previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar service-oriented environment is preferred.
