HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES

 The successful candidate will be required to develop a strategic and coherent approach to the effective and efficient management of all matters concerning employees. The Human Capital Strategies must be aligned with the overall business strategy. Key Human Resource functions will include Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Benefits Administration, Disciplinary Management, Employee Engagement, Change Management, Culture Management, Career Development, Performance Management and Succession Planning.

The role of Head of Human Resource is important for business growth as improved Employee Experience improves Customer Experience which ultimately drives improved business outcomes.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Collaborate with senior leadership to appreciate the changing needs of the business. Provide necessary support with the development of the Company’s Strategic Plan; develop and implement Human Resource Strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Play a key role in driving execution (performance management) with respect to established strategic priorities and operational plans to support the Company’s ambitious growth plan.
  • Oversee with respect to some key Human Resource functions to include Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Career Development, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Change Management, Benefits Administration and Disciplinary Management
  • Ensure continuous improvement with respect to Performance Management, Compensation Management, Culture Management, Change Management and Succession Planning.

Oversee the development and implementation of our HRIS, whilst ensuring all HR processes are effective and in line with the company’s longer-term growth plans.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or any equivalent
  2. Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  3. Solid understanding of the Labour Laws of Jamaica and best practices
  4. Strong business acumen and collaboration skills
  5. The ability to build trust, and communicate effectively
  6. Excellent Interpersonal, Communication and Leadership Skills
  7. Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
