National Helicopter Services Limited, a leading provider of helicopter transport and related services to the energy and state sectors, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified professional to fill the following position:

 

 

HSE COORDINATOR

The HSE Coordinator is responsible for conducting the full range of NHSL’s HSE functions including training, auditing and conducting workplace investigations.   

Key responsibilities

  • Representing NHSL at all Client HSE meetings and applicable HSE functions.
  • Promoting and developing a strong safety culture.
  • Formulating HSE policies and procedures in keeping with OSHA Laws and best practice.
  • Formulating and producing appropriate reports on a timely basis to assist with efficient and effective decision making.
  • Coordinating and spearheading regular HSE Committee meetings.
  • Ensuring that ‘Permit to Work’ and Job Safety Analysis requirements are met by all contractors.
  • Ability to conduct appropriate audits, risk assessments/analysis and advise on the applicable corrective actions.

Qualifications/Skills

  • BSc. Degree in Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health or acceptable equivalent.
  • Five (5) years progressive HSE experience within the energy or aviation sectors would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the applicable OSHA laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct accident/incident investigations and risk assessments
  • Computer literate with demonstrated ability to use the full range of Microsoft Office
