The Human Resources Coordinator will support key HR functions, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth HR operations and maximizing value for the organization.

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support key HR functions, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and administrative tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth HR operations and maximizing value for the organization.

Job Description:

  • Oversee the recruitment process from start to finish, including employee orientation and onboarding. Conduct exit interviews and manage off-boarding procedures for a seamless transition.
  • Assist with employee and industrial relations matters, conduct investigations, and prepare reports to support internal disciplinary processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate and support the semi-annual and annual performance management processes.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, conducting quarterly audits and reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Handle exit interviews and off-boarding procedures as needed.
  • Provide proactive solutions and address all HR-related queries and requests.
  • Offer administrative support across all areas of HR operations to meet departmental goals.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation as required.
  • Adhere to health, safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure optimal business operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification in Industrial Relations or Labour Law in Trinidad and Tobago is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of effective reward and recognition strategies and communication methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Basic training in Industrial Relations is preferred.
