The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner to Management and employees, within assigned areas, in support of the Company’s mission.
Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner to Management and employees, within assigned areas, in support of the Company’s mission. They will serve as a consultant to stakeholders on Human Resource related issues, assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees.
Job Description:
Consults with line management providing Human Resource policy guidance, implementation and interpretation when appropriate.
Coordinates the recruitment and onboarding process, working closely with Line Managers.
Provides performance management guidance to line management and partners with the Sector Talent Manager in relation to performance management needs.
Works closely with Department Managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Partners with the Sector Talent Manager in the development and execution of training and developmental plans.
Addresses employee relations issues, conducting thorough and effective first line investigations and referring matters to the Group ER/IR Manager, as necessary.
Manages day-to-day human resources administrative tasks ensuring compliance and accuracy as well as manage various special assigned projects from Head Office and Sector HR Functions with limited supervision.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, Psychology or Social Sciences from an accredited educational institution.
Two (2) years of human resource management experience in a unionized environment.
Equivalent combination of training and experience.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex human resource management processes and initiatives.
Using an understanding of business issues, processes and outcomes to enhance business performance.
Organizes time, work and resources to accomplish objectives in the most effective and efficient way.
