Coordinates smooth daily operations of the Butler department, ensuring that all Butlers have the tool necessary to carry out their daily tasks. Managing budget and coordinating supplies.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Successfully completes training/certification of all Butlers.
Ensure daily line-up is kept and maintained within the Department.
Receiving (and checking in) guests.
Responsible for guiding, training and motivating staff.
Guarantee levels of satisfaction through the results of qualified surveys by the guests with the objective of knowing the needs, detecting the areas of opportunity and improving the quality of the service.
Respond to guest requests, ensure Express Service concerns/issues are resolved.
Periodically inspect Butler rooms to ensure standard are met.
Updates and manages the hotel systems, by registering and maintaining the Guest's information during their stay, generating a database that will serve for future stays.
Creates follow-up reports to VIP guests & Members, to obtain relevant information, as well as a history of their preferences prior to arrival.
Coordinates the control and handling of guests´ luggage during check-out, check-in, and room changes. Safekeeping in an efficient careful manner.
Provides a tracking service for lost luggage.
Recommend disciplinary actions where necessary.
Familiarize yourself with the hotel’s emergency manuals and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2 years’ experience as a Head Butler
Thorough knowledge of hotel services and amenities.
Ability to train, coach, counsel, develop employees according to SOP
Ability to be a leader and build a team.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests / visitors, management and co-workers to their understanding.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
Ability to work long hours even without being told
Ability to write reports and submit in a timely manner
