Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury & Asset Management team in the capacity of:
Group Treasury and Asset Management Operations Associate
Have direct responsibility for the daily monitoring and processing of settlements for the Treasury functions across the Sagicor Group.
Location: Kingston
As a Group Treasury Operations Associate, you will:
- Prepare and post journal entries and credit/ debit settlement accounts as required on T24 platform for funds received/ being paid out for clients.
- Action repurchase agreement maturity reports and all other reports that may be received for booking of same.
- Prepare letters for new funds and book contracts per instructions.
- Prepare Sigma & Sagicor letters (matured funds) & JMD Treasury accounts.
- Respond to queries and research in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor bank accounts.
- Input transactions on JAMCLEAR/PO platform when required.
- Prepare interest & maturity proprietary global bonds payments for Group Treasury (Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited).
- Prepare trade files and templates and respond to trade breaks.
- Produce weekly and monthly reconciliations.
- Settle global bond trades and transfers and maintain global bond register.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Management Studies or relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year working experience in a financial institution.
- Completion of the Jamaican Securities Course would be an asset.
- Knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to details.
- Must be a team player, problem solver, critical thinker.
- Must possess integrity and a strong work ethics.
- Ability to work independently on concurrent tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Able to easily adapt to changing priorities.
- Able to meet high expectations for precision and accuracy.
- Must be highly organized.
- Sound knowledge of settlements procedures, GOJ debt instruments and Securities Pricing.
- Working knowledge of various settlements systems both local and international.
