Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Treasury & Asset Management team in the capacity of:
Group Treasury and Asset Management Associate - Fixed Income
Provide support to Client Service Representatives for all branches, particularly for the processing of booking and liquidation of repurchase agreements, payouts of principal and interest payments.
Prepare RTGS, ACH, wire transfers, cash, and cheque payments as well as the daily monitoring of settlement and bank accounts for incoming funds.
Location: Kingston
As a Group Treasury and Asset Management Associate, you will:
- Promote quality service standards by observing and delivering consistent quality service in compliance with service level agreements.
- Ensure that all maturity reports are actioned on the date of maturity.
- Prepare RTGS, ACH, bank transfers and wire transfers payment for early encashment, maturities of repo agreements or other client transactions requiring pay-out.
- Process standing orders and payment requests for disbursement.
- Process interest/principal payments and payments regarding bond sale or purchase.
- Assist in clearing outstanding items on bank reconciliation reports.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate degree in Finance, Management Studies, or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of one (1) years’ working experience in a Financial Institution.
- Successful completion of the Jamaican Securities Course would be an asset.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team orientation.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
